Mahrukh Bharucha
takes immense pleasure in assisting teachers and kids to enhance their communication skills and reach their full potential. Her speech, talent and theatre background help to make her a dynamic presenter. Her experience and education combine to provide her with the knowledge necessary to assist any age group to hone their communication skills and boost their self confidence.

Qualifications and Achievements

Mahrukh started her career at a very early age, by teaching Speech, Drama and Elocution in five of Pune’s reputed English schools; but eventually gave that up to launch her own institute.

Passed with either Merit or Distinction - all the Trinity College, London, Speech & Drama grade exams and is the holder of the Effective Communications Performers Certificate. She is qualified as a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and also completed a Diploma in Hotel Management (both with honors).

She is often invited as a guest lecturer on Communication Skills in many of Pune’s Colleges and Educational Institutes. Currently she is reading about and evolving ways to introduce the concept of “Drama in Education” into the humdrum Indian academic curriculum.

She has been active on Pune’s English theatre circuit since the age of 8 and has been involved with numerous productions in various capacities – actress, back-stage helper, prompter, stage manager, director and producer. She is trained at The Poona Arts Theatre under the renowned Mrs. Firoza Bharucha for 15 years.

She enjoys the company of children and childlike adults. Often, when she is overwhelmed by the creative itch, she seeks solace in writing. She has written umpteen poems, skits and stories, which she uses as teaching material.

Mahrukh’s enthusiasm for her subject is contagious and she has the ability to make the participants enthusiastic about what they are learning.
